Simone acts as a General Partner of our strategy dedicated to climate tech investments. He contributes to the design and keeping up to date of the fund's investment theses and oversees the full investment cycle.

He brings over 25 years of experience in sustainability and innovation to the firm, beginning his career as a researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). He is a specialist in decarbonization and energy systems, having founded a university spin-off focused on the energy refurbishment of buildings and launched “Impatto Zero,” a pioneering global initiative for carbon reduction and offsetting . His governance experience includes serving on the boards of directors for several national research institutes, including ENEA, CESI, and ERSE. He has also contributed to international regulatory frameworks as a member of the EU Eco-label and Eco-audit committees and served as the editorial director for Expo Milano 2015. He had senior leadership roles within the LifeGate Group, including Scientific Director of LifeGate, General Manager of LifeGate Energy, and board member of LifeGate spa and its subsidiaries.

He graduated with honors in Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and holds two Master’s degrees from EPFL: one in Energy, completed in collaboration with Imperial College London, and another in Architecture and Sustainable Development.

Outside the office, Simone is an avid skier and diver and he tries to balance his time between practicing martial arts to keep up with his 11-year-old twins and driving pivotal conversations and speeches on sustainability and innovation to foster global change.
