Giacomo is part of the investment team dedicated to our healthcare strategy. In this role, he leverages his technical and financial expertise to identify potential targets in the medical devices, pharma, private service providers and animal health segments. Giacomo follows the entire investment lifecycle, from deal generation to value creation, passing through due diligence and portfolio management.

Previously, he served as an Associate at Xyence Capital SGR. During his tenure there, he was involved in the divestment phase of the Principia II fund and was responsible for portfolio management for Principia III - Health, a venture capital and private equity fund dedicated to the healthcare sector, gaining niche expertise. His professional background also includes experience in investment banking at Banca Investis (formerly Fante Advisory), where he worked on various M&A transactions.

Giacomo holds an Executive Master from SDA Bocconi. He also earned a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Milano-Bicocca and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Genoa.

Outside the office, Giacomo is a powerhouse of energy: former Italian Taekwondo champion, American football player, and an avid explorer of science, wildlife, and travel.
