Primo Capital leads Series A funding to redefine cybersecurity standards, addressing the systemic threatsposed by the evolution of quantum computing

Quantum Bridge Technologies has closed a US$8 million Series A funding roundled by Primo Capital SGR to accelerate the global transition to quantum-safecybersecurity infrastructure. The investment supports the company’s scale-up asfinancial institutions, telecommunications networks, governments, and defensesectors worldwide seek to protect critical data from emerging quantum threats.

Thefunding round was supported by a global syndicate of investors, including Wayra(Telefónica), Cadenza VC, Club degli Investitori angels, HPE, and BacchusVenture Capital. Together with prior financing from investors including AlumniVentures and the University of Toronto, the round brings Quantum Bridge’s totalcapital raised to $16 million.

“Leading this round represents a defining milestone forPrimo Capital as we establish our footprint in the quantum technology landscape— a sector we view as the cornerstone of digital resilience for the comingdecade,” said Mara Attardi, an investment professional at Primo Capital.“Quantum Bridge immediately stood out for the versatility of its architecture, but it was the team that clinched our conviction. The CEO possesses that rare,dual-threat leadership: the deep academic rigor required to build cutting-edgetech and the commercial acumen to navigate the complexities of globalinstitutional markets. This is a team that doesn’t just understand the quantumfuture; they have built the bridge to reach it today.”

“Nationalsecurity can’t wait for perfect conditions,” said Mattia Montagna, co-founderand CEO of Quantum Bridge Technologies. “We build quantum-safe systems thatwork inside real networks today — systems designed to keep protecting sovereigncommunications as the threat landscape evolves. This funding means we can meetmore organizations where they are, and get them protected faster.”

Closing the Quantum Security Gap

Quantum Bridge addresses the systemic threat posed by quantumcomputing to current cryptographic infrastructure. The company’s patentedDistributed Symmetric Key Establishment (DSKE) protocol enables organizationsto generate, distribute, and manage symmetric keys through a decentralizedarchitecture, removing single points of failure, improving scalability, andstrengthening long-term cryptographic resilience.

QuantumBridge brings advanced cryptographic security into practical deployment, grounded in well-established principles that have stood the test of time.Designed to work across existing infrastructure, vendors, and security layers, the company’s platform allows organizations to add quantum-safe protection fromoptical encryptors to application-level systems without disrupting existingoperations. By making defense-grade security practical for commercialenvironments, Quantum Bridge helps customers advance their quantum-safemigration with greater scalability, flexibility, and confidence.
