The Group joins Primo Climate, confirming its commitment to supporting technologies that can contribute to innovation in the energy sector

Trento, 16 July 2026 — Dolomiti Energia has selected the Primo Climate team to invest in the future of the energy transition. Primo Climate, managed by Primo Capital SGR — an independent platform dedicated to technology investments — focuses on startups developing and industrialising frontier technologies for the energy transition and decarbonisation.

The strategic partnership with Primo Capital represents a structured step in supporting startups operating in Dolomiti Energia’s key sectors. The initiative brings together the Group’s industrial expertise, which is essential to assessing the practical application potential of new technologies, with the Primo Climate team’s experience in identifying, selecting and supporting the growth of high-potential startups. The partnership will also pay close attention to initiatives active in the Trentino region.

By joining Primo Climate, Dolomiti Energia becomes part of a qualified network of investors and operators within the innovation ecosystem. Primo Climate’s main investors include CDP Venture Capital and Fon.TE, whose presence confirms the fund’s solidity, credibility and strategic relevance within the venture capital landscape.

As part of the partnership, Dolomiti Energia will have a representative on Primo Climate’s Advisory Board, contributing its knowledge of the Trentino region and its economic system. This role will help enhance innovation opportunities emerging from Trentino, supporting the development of an innovation ecosystem linked to the energy transition, as well as initiatives capable of generating growth, expertise and local development, in line with the fund’s strategic objectives.

Joining Primo Climate is a strategic decision that strengthens the connection between Dolomiti Energia and the territories in which we operate,” said Stefano Granella, CEO of Dolomiti Energia. “It enables us to actively participate in the growth of innovative startups for the energy transition and to help create long-term value for Trentino. We believe innovation reaches its full potential when it creates tangible opportunities for people and communities. This is why we believe that connecting expertise, capital, entrepreneurial vision and industrial capabilities can help new opportunities take root in Trentino, attracting talent, creating qualified employment and strengthening an increasingly dynamic, competitive and sustainable economic ecosystem. This collaboration will generate benefits for the entire economic and productive system of the region over the medium to long term.”

“We are delighted to welcome Dolomiti Energia among the subscribers of Primo Climate,” said Ezio Ravaccia, Director at Primo Capital and Partner at Primo Climate. “The entry of such a relevant industrial player, deeply rooted in the local territory, confirms the strategic value of our investment vehicle. The energy transition requires not only financial capital, but also solid technical expertise. The combination of our venture capital experience and Dolomiti Energia’s industrial know-how will be key to accelerating the development and subsequent implementation of frontier technologies, creating a positive impact on the innovation ecosystem both in Italy and in Trentino. Dolomiti Energia’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and decarbonisation aligns closely with our mission to drive change.”

“Dolomiti Energia’s entry further strengthens Primo Capital’s LPs base,” commented Antonio Concolino, CEO of Primo Capital. “It is a choice that confirms trust in our ability to identify and support the technologies of the future, while reinforcing Primo Capital’s positioning as a reference partner for institutional and industrial investors. It is also a concrete signal of how venture capital is becoming an increasingly strategic lever for large companies seeking to accelerate their innovation pathways.”
