Ilaria is Investment Principal of our strategy dedicated to the space economy, where she manages our dealflow funnel and supports the strategic and commercial growth of our portfolio companies.

She has accumulated over 10 years of experience in early-stage investments and venture capital. Between 2012 and 2024, she held progressively senior roles at the investment boutique Cenciarini & Co., moving from Associate to Head of Investments and Partner. In this capacity, she managed both direct and indirect seed-stage investments. She also served as Partner of TLI Space, the firm’s division dedicated to the space economy. Her background also includes several years in corporate finance and investment banking, with cross-border M&A experience gained in Australia.

Since joining Primo Capital in 2024, she has been instrumental in managing the Primo Space 1 portfolio, which comprises over 19 companies across the upstream and downstream segments. Ilaria has combined her investment career with an academic role as a Fellow at Bocconi University, where she has taught Entrepreneurship and Corporate Finance. She is also the creator of Scaleupitaly.com, a platform providing analysis on the Italian innovation and venture capital landscape.

She holds a degree in Finance and Management from Bocconi University.

Outside the office, you can likely find Ilaria enjoying the quiet of the countryside, discovering authentic agriturismi, or exploring the world with her family.
