Gianluca is founder and Chairman of Primo Capital and General Partner for our digital investment strategy.

He actively enacts the investment thesis of our digital funds and he is involved in deal generation, portfolio management and value creation activities.

A pioneer of the Italian internet sector since 1995, Gianluca held early positions at Olivetti and Lycos before co-founding Vitaminic in 1999. As CEO, he led Vitaminic to its initial public offering in 2000, later serving as Head of M&A and Vice Chairman of the Board following the company's merger with Buongiorno S.p.A. Since 2004, he has been a prolific investor in the Italian startup ecosystem, supporting over sixty technology companies in the ICT and digital sectors, including Vivaticket and Iubenda. In 2007, he founded the consultancy dPixel and served as its Chairman until 2016. He was also a Promoter and Partner of Digital Investments SCA SICAR, acting as Key Manager for its Seed Fund. His leadership extends to the broader industry as the founder and past president of both the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) and Italian Tech Alliance, where he continues to serve as a board member. Gianluca is a Kauffman Fellow, part of the global network of leaders in capital formation.
